"i'm home! finally!" for charlie, even the three days she had spent away seemed like years. it was always that way. but her family had called her stating there was a family emergency and she had taken the mustang to see them... only to figure out that they were just trying to seriously kidnap her. couldn't they have just simply told her that they'd like to see her rather than making her worry so much. in fact, she felt more awful that she had left keagan all on his own with just a note that said she'd be back in a few days. well, actually, it had said 'be back, fam really needs me.'. how descriptive, right? right. but she was back now and hopefully he hadn't thought she had run off or some crap. according to tabloids, running away and getting a second wife or husband or some crap was probably the latest thing.
having one husband was hard enough, so she didn't understand that concept. and wasn't it illegal? who knew. she really wasn't wanting to find out anytime soon.
humming, she had pulled her suitcase up the steps and toward the bedroom quietly to unpack everything. she wasn't sure if he was even home right now; seeing as this was her first priority at the time. biting down on her bottom lip, she was sorting the clothes into the closet; being the type of person that charlie was, she had to sort everything by color. most of the clothes were simple tee shirts and ripped jeans; it was nothing new that charlie was a pretty simple person.
after all of the unpacking was done and she had put up the suitcase, she walked out of the bedroom and quickly called out a simple, "keagan. are you home?" charlie then started down to the kitchen to grab a snack. it probably would have been a good idea to call him and tell him that she had been on her way a while back, but she wanted to surprise him. oh well.

` keagan mark daniels ,, i'm just a cross hair - i'm just a shot away from you. & if you leave here, you leave me broken, shattered, alive. i'm just a cross hair, i'm just a shot, & then we can die. I KNOW I WON'T BE LEAVING HERE WITH YOU.
well, to be honest with you, keagan wasn't all too worried. he figured if her family needed her, they needed her, and she wouldn't use them as an escape. so he was pretty sure that the past three days she had spent with her family and not her supposed second husband or whatever. of course when you were famous you were stalked by thousands, but surprisingly not much had been said about her random disappearance with the mustang. in fact, no one even tried to find out, or write anything, much to keagan's surprise. anyhow, last night he had gone out with a could of friends and he had passed out somewhere along the lines. so he wasn't home. in fact, he was on his way home. he woke up in his friend's living room, and knew that he had passed out there. i mean he was drinking and none of them were idiots so they all stuck it out at the one guy's place until they woke up to leave the next morning. so he was driving home right now, well rested. but he smelled gross because he obviously needed to shower and he still had a tint of alcohol on him. so it wasn't going to be a pleasant thing for charlie to come home to. actually, he didn't even know she was home when he pulled up into the back garage parking of their home. had he have used the front entrance, he would have saw her mustang, but he didn't. he used the back entrance because if anyone wanted an insider's look on their lives it would be from the front door, and he didn't look nice enough to be on camera. so he was shying away from that this morning as he ventured through the back of the premises. he went to the basement washroom to shower up, since the stairs were closer than the ones to go to the upper floor. he got all cleaned off, changed, and just as he was walking back upstairs, he heard her voice. she was calling out to see if he was home. aw! he was so excited she was back, and he even sprinted up the stairs, just to see her. he spotted her in the kitchen and called out, "charlie
!" excitedly, before walking into the kitchen. he laced his arms around her waist, his head on her shoulder as he smothered the side of her neck in kisses. who cares what she was trying to do? she was gone three days and he missed her. cut the guy some slack. after the last attempt of checking if he had been home, she had pretty much ruled herself as being alone in the whole place. and going through everything in the kitchen, there was really nothing there to settle her appetite. everything just seemed so blah at the moment. maybe she was just being way too picky at the moment. tapping her finger against her bottom lip, she began thinking of what she could simply make to eat.. she could simply bake something. but no, that'd spoil her appetite for the rest of the day. but then she heard a noise, interrupting the thoughts and making her forget what she was doing; it was keagan. but before she had a chance to react at all, she was being kissed quite a bit.. not that she minded it. no, if you asked her, she actually missed it. and she wasn't afraid to admit it at all. "sheez. i'm going to have to visit my family more often." she teased between giggles. "speaking of which..." she began to speak, waiting for him to finish with his signs of affection so she could at least talk without bursting out giggling. charlie could be extremely ticklish at times, and it seemed anymore that she smallest touches to her back or neck would send her into a sure flurry of laughter.
"the emergency..? it wasn't really an emergency. they just wanted to spend time with me. but they drove me up the walls. that and i missed you enough to come back early." she came from a pretty large family, with one other sister and four brothers? it got pretty crazy around her house. and yes, they were all younger. well, her brothers were eighteen, fourteen, twelve, and eleven... while her sister was at the mere age of six. that only gave clue as to why she could sometimes be so tomboyish, growing up with a lot of boys in the family. but she never cared, seeing as it gave her backbone and she wasn't afraid to speak her mind a lot of the time.
finally remembering what she was trying to do, she stepped away from him and held a finger up as to say 'wait a minute, please?'. "i gotta get something to eat real quick. i haven't eaten at all since i woke up and i'm realllly hungry. then i'll cuddle you and get all lovey-dovey, okay?" and then the searching commenced. she was pretty much going through everything until she just finally rested on what she was going to eat: an orange. it was all she could think of that she could actually eat without complaining. add in the fact it was healthy for her and she really wouldn't say no to it at all. grabbing one, she began to peel it and walk toward keagan slowly, not even looking at him.
standing in front of him, she just stared down at the orange quietly while peeling it. after the orange was peeled with little to no effort at all, she finally looked up at him and smiled quickly. "i had to come home. i actually felt lonely, really. it was fun, though. my little sister kept asking where you were..." she stopped speaking for a moment to just eat a bit of the orange. after she had swallowed what was in her mouth, the twenty-one year old let a playful grin creep on her face, "just kept asking 'where's keagan? where's my boyfriend?'" and then she was done rambling on for the moment. but she found it completely cute that her own little sister had that kind of a little kid crush on him, so she had to mention it. throwing the rest of the orange away, she cleared her throat and looked toward him with a smile. it was then that charlie had taken the chance to try and kiss him, arms around the back of his neck.

` keagan mark daniels ,, i'm just a cross hair - i'm just a shot away from you. & if you leave here, you leave me broken, shattered, alive. i'm just a cross hair, i'm just a shot, & then we can die. "no! you're not allowed to go anywhereeeee
," he told her, holding her close. he eventually stopped kissing her neck enough to hear her out. he listened, and that was all he did. he didn't add anything, didn't make comments, just listened. he was usually good like that. he let her talk and then he said stuff. today he just didn't really have much to say. she then said she had to grab something to eat, and with a simple 'okay,' keagan let her go. he watched, highly interested, as she looked around the entire kitchen for something to eat, and all she did was settle for an orange. how positively, absolutely ridiculous. though a lot of the things she did were quite ridiculous, not that he minded at all. he liked that quirky side that she seemed to always have. it just made it that much easier to be around her. then she came back over to him, she peeled her orange, spoke some more, threw her orange out, and spoke a little more. the last thing she said made him chuckle a bit. after all it was pretty cute. " aw, it's nice to know someone was thinking of me the past three days, jeez." he finally said something, and with a teasing grin, she knew he was just kidding. but then finally his stomach grumbled, and seeing how all she found was an orange to eat, he knew he wasn't going to find much more. " wanna go out to eat? i'm starved," he said, shrugging a little. [ omgstillcrap][/blockquote][/blockquote]

"oh, how can you guarantee that? lock me in the closet?" of course she was just joking with him. she wasn't planning on running off anytime soon. no, scratch that; at all. the only time she'd run off was when she was pretty stressed. but of course, it was a rare incident anymore. when she had been younger, she was more prone to it. so there really was nothing to worry about at all. "i won't be going anywhere for a while as long as i don't get any calls." calls, being of course, to model. she usually knew about things ahead of time, but there were those times when something would suddenly pop up and she'd have to leave as soon as she got a chance so she wouldn't be late. time was always important when it came to modeling. if you weren't on time, you most likely lost a job.
"well, if you take to her so well, you can go to her, it'd cause quite the scandal!" she teased in return, holding up her hands in the air and laughing, "kidding. but one of these days i'm going to have to pick her up and let her stay here. if it wouldn't bother you, at least?" it was more of a question than a quick statement. it would, of course, have to be when she knew she wouldn't have to do anything and her little sister had a break from school. her head quickly picked up and came out of thought when he suggested they go out to eat, "oh! yeah. yeah, i'll need to pick up stuff to cook for dinner. just let me hurry and get my purse, then we can go." and she was off in a quick walk, up to her bedroom to fetch her purse. it was rather small, but seemed to have a million different things in it. or some people would swear it weighed that much. she never really shared that opinion, though.
after grabbing it, she had made her way back to the kitchen just as quickly. "okay! okay! i'm ready! are we taking my car? or yours? either way, you're driving. i drove way too much today." maybe that was a bit bossy? but charlie wanted him to know. but, honestly, if it would bother him, then she would drive.
[ don't worry about it. lmfao. ]

` keagan mark daniels ,, i'm just a cross hair - i'm just a shot away from you. & if you leave here, you leave me broken, shattered, alive. i'm just a cross hair, i'm just a shot, & then we can die. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - after charlie had gotten all her things together, and keagan himself got all cleaned up and whatnot, they walked out to the back of the house and got into his car, taking off to the restaurant that they had chosen in the car. he had agreed to have her little sister over for a while sometime, and honestly, he wouldn't mind. she was a cute kid. anyways, they decided on having chinese food, and at some all you can eat buffet, so it was like - endless chinese food. you couldn't really go wrong, when that was the choice of restaurant, anyways. so they drove, pretty much in silence. well, keagan was silent as charlie just kept talking. it was often like that, anyways.
so they parked in the restaurant parking lot, and got out and walked into the restaurant hand in hand. they waited to be seated, and then once they were, they were brought their drinks and then they were off to grab their plates. after filling their first plates with lots and lots of food, they went back to the table, and keagan set his plate down so he could pull out the chair for charlie. he was just a sweetheart like that. then he went to go and sit himself down in his own chair. he took a sip of his coke before he began to devour his chinese food, one food item at a time. if only he knew charlie wasn't done talking.

the thing about charlie was that it wasn't at all hard to be around her. especially when it came to quiet people, because she'd talk so much they wouldn't have to say a single thing. it was also good for when she needed to be hired for anything or wanted to make friends. but there were some times when she said the wrong thing. and then there were times when she wanted to speak but couldn't find the words. of course, now that she was seated at the table and the mood seemed right, she felt like bringing up something she had been pondering the last few days.
but how would she actually start it out. watching him eat, she just stared down at her own plate that had went untouched due to nerves being shot. yes, if there was one thing that left her nervous, it was being told no. charlie wasn't one of those brats and could take no for an answer most of the time, but she actually wasn't used to being told no in the first place.
looking around, she kept quiet for a moment, seeming to look for something. and her eyes spotted exactly what she wanted to see: a family sitting not too far from where they were. she cleared her throat to get his attention and smiled, "awww. hey, keagan, look at how cute their kids are." it was a pretty lame attempt to get the topic brought up, but it was better than nothing. looking from him to the family, then back to him, she raised an eyebrow. this was probably the easiest way to really get some kind of reaction out of him. if he just dismissed it, she could bring it back up. that was probably a bit too pushy, but no one said everything was easy. she just had to remind herself to not get too pushy about it.

` keagan mark daniels ,, i'm just a cross hair - i'm just a shot away from you. & if you leave here, you leave me broken, shattered, alive. i'm just a cross hair, i'm just a shot, & then we can die. keagan, really, was not exactly opposed to not having kids. it was more or less the fact that they weren't cut out for it. at least not yet. they were still pretty young, and not only that, they were at the peak of their careers. did she really expect him to drop the band and get on with this pregnancy stuff? did she want that? keagan knew he didn't, not now. it would definitely be nice in the near future, but he couldn't see himself doing it just then. he was barely an adult himself, seeing as he was always acting so immature, and things were just too spontaneous to be set out. and so he was trying not to notice that she hadn't touched her food, and just kept shoveling food into his own mouth. but when she spoke up, and said that the family with the children sitting a few tables over was "cute," he kind of got what she was hinting at. she had done this to him before. he just didn't think it was a good idea for them just yet. he nodded his head, shrugged, and finished chewing his food. he looked at charlie; he could tell she was nervous, since he could pretty much read her like a book. but there was no way in hell that he was letting her get away with this. not this time. "charlie... - yes, yes they are cute
." okay, so much for not letting her get away with it, but he couldn't shoot her down. he just didn't have the heart to do it, not to her, his charlie. so he let it slide, roll off his back, and he was on a mission to just keep eating, as he began putting more food into his mouth.[/blockquote][/blockquote]

charlie let a bit of a frown show through, but had looked down to avoid it being noticed. just as he knew what she was getting at, she was already noting he was trying to avoid the topic altogether. but that wasn't going to stop charlie. oh, no -- like said, she didn't want to be pushy, but if she wanted something bad enough? changing a subject wouldn't get her to drop it altogether. this would probably be something that would frustrate some peoplem. but charlie had a strong will and would accept whatever he said.
she'd occasionally look from her plate to the family and sigh. but that was while she was thinking of what else she was supposed to say. then it finally came to mind. but she still was holding back. she had been trying to think of why she shouldn't do this. but there was just something in the back of her mind that made her want to hear what he really had to say. because, what if he would cave and say yes? if she backed down now, obviously she'd miss that chance and have to wait a while. that was something charlie would never do.
"mm. you know, if we had a kid, it'd probably be that cute." charlie stated matter-of-factly. maybe she was a bit arrogant about it, but she felt like no matter what, if they had a kid? it would, in fact, be cute. she wasn't the type to be real cocky about the way she looked, but she did have a certain high level of self confidence that made her comfortable around people. "i mean, with how attractive you are? and the way i look?" she did her best to show a half smile, despite the feeling of nervousness. but to keep her mind distracted, she began to slowly eat the food on her plate

keagan kept eating, hoping to god she wouldn't bring it up again. she knew where he stood. or at least he was pretty sure that she knew. point being was he was hoping he had diverted her from that question, or at least postponed it. so he kept eating, and they never really talked much while they ate anyways, most because of keagan. he wasn't much of a talker because he actually liked to eat his food at its proper temperature. so he usually preferred to eat and let charlie do all the talking. then he'd just nod along and make the random grunt or groan, depending on what she was saying. but today she didn't seem like she was backing down as easily as she used to, and this was just pushing keagan. and as she spoke again he dropped his fork down, and it hit his plate with a loud clank that most of the people around their table heard. of course the looked over but they did look away too, just because they saw what it was, and that was all they needed. but then keagan started in on her. "what do you want, charlie? what do you want to say? just come right out and say it, please, before i get really angry
." anybody that knows keagan knows he's relatively an easy going guy, who is not prone to anger. but charlie knew better than everyone else that even laid back keagan gets upset. and she also knew better than everyone else when to back down. just tonight, it didn't seem like she was paying attention to the warning signs of his impending temper.[/blockquote][/blockquote]

charlie did know that she should have been just shutting up by now. yet, she didn't know how to listen to herself and wanted to keep on talking to him about it. however, when he had given his reply to everything, she felt the nervousness actually turn to fear. fear of what he was going to say. no, she knew what he would say -- but she just wasn't wanting to believe that he would really say it to her. but what the real fear was actually happened to be how angry he would get when she told him what she wanted. she knew he knew, but was still going to say it just for the hell of it. and no, she wasn't doing it to make him angry at all.
"i love you." okay, not even she understood why she said that -- she had been hoping that maybe when she did finally state what she wanted, he wouldn't freak out all the way on her. it'd ease everything a bit more. but then another side of her said it was stupid and a bad way of sucking up to him. plus, it was completely obvious on what she was trying to get away with. but now she had to think. again. the only way she thought she'd be able to tell him was just to come out with it and say 'a baby.'. but that would probably just anger him. and obviously she couldn't just say 'what do you think i want?' because that would sound rude and just make him mad, most likely. so she just cleared her throat and stared down at her food.
"i want to have a baby." if she looked up and just peered at his eyes, she'd probably turn to stone or ice. or she'd just be devestated because he'd either be angry or something. at that moment in time, though, she did absolutely know one thing... that she wished out of nowhere some crazed fan of his would knock her unconcsious. it actually didn't sound bad if he really was going to become agitated with her. any signs that he was and she'd probably be bothered by it for a long time. there was always different things that worried her when he would become angry. things like 'what if he doesn't want to talk to me for a long time?' or 'what if he thinks i'm treating him bad and finds someone else.'. charlie would always convince herself the thoughts were absurd and would never happen... but people changed and she didn't like that.
"please don't get mad?" wow. that was awfully pathetic. she hadn't really thought it would help the situation. but who knows. at this point she was willing to say anything just to keep him calm or far from agitation. so now she was wishing she had listened to herself and just kept her mouth shut. it would have made the situation so much better. but she just had to go and ignore it, didn't she?

keagan simply stared at her. he knew damn well what she wanted to say. he knew she was going to tell him that she wanted a baby. but he wasn't expecting her to tell him that she loved him first. it hit him, because he knew that, but it hit him harder because he wasn't expecting it. but he didn't let it alter his ability to be upset. he was upset that she would bring it up now, while they were out having dinner after they hadn't seen one another in three nights. that may have been why he was getting so angry with her just then. she soon just came out with it, and he felt himself physically implode. he was trying his hardest to just not freak out about it all. and he just tried to eat more, though now his appetite was sort of lost. charlie proceeded to tell him not to get mad. and honestly? that was out of the question. she had already pissed him off. keagan was already angry. and he was not going to back down. "don't get mad? charlie, i'm way past mad. i'm way past upset, or angered... i don't even know what to call it anymore, really. because you know DAMN well where i stand on this issue. i can't believe you brought it up here! you couldn't wait until we got home
?!" he snapped, staring at her with an ice cold glare from across the table. of course, now, the angry tone in his voice drew attention towards their table again. so even if no one was staring at them because they were famous and everything like that, then they would be staring now, because keagan was talking quite loudly now. not really yelling, just speaking louder than he should be for a restaurant. it was incredibly rude of him, really, but from his viewpoint, it wasn't his fault. charlie brought up something he hated to talk about. blame it on her. call him crazy, but for now, the having children bit was not something he was ready to chew on.[/blockquote][/blockquote]

charlie had just kept looking down, feeling eyes fall on them as he began to snap at her in anger. she was just about to leave and go to the car, but decided against it so quickly. she refused to admit defeat. well, she would admit that having a baby was now something she wouldn't be doing anytime soon at all. or that's what she'd say. mentioning it was also out of the question. when she was ready to actually speak, she had looked up and her words were once again lost. that face he was making was far from inviting and had her wondering what else he was going to say to her if she just pressed on. yet she was afraid to know.
but obviously she had to say something, rather than just stare at him with one of the most surprised expressions. "don't talk like that toward me, keagan. and trust me, a simple yes or no would have sufficed for me, rather than you making a scene. everyone's staring and do you realize how embarassing that is?" she stated, trying to keep her voice at a reasonable level despite the way her own anger was starting to rise. swallowing hard, she just looked back down, staring at the food on her plate that had hardly been touched, "you know, you give new meaning to dinner and a show. i hope you realize that." she whispered, only looking up at him for several moments with an eyebrow raised. she wanted to keep her mouth shut and just not say it -- but that wasn't possible for her any longer. she could keep quiet, but she couldn't stop herself from being an ass. it was the only way she knew to counter his statements that had left her mildly embarassed. the tabloids would probably be all over it soon enough and then she'd probably be hounded by them, along with him. it just wasn't good press for her at all.
but that wasn't what was really bothering her. it was what she was supposed to say to him at this time to calm him down that was concerning her. she'd usually be able to figure out something... but nothing was coming to her mind for this particular situation. and she knew that her smart remark hadn't helped any. "i brought it up, by the way, because it's been bothering me for a while. how was i supposed to know to bring it up at home? wouldn't i get the same answer or reaction from you? i'm not psychic, so how was i supposed to know it'd upset you? answer that, keagan." then her voice had raised just a little. but she was trying her best to not be disrespectful. ha. too late for that, the drama and arguing had already started -- didn't that generally mean someone was being rude?

` keagan mark daniels ,, i'm just a cross hair - i'm just a shot away from you. & if you leave here, you leave me broken, shattered, alive. i'm just a cross hair, i'm just a shot, & then we can die. keagan was so shocked that charlie had even said anything back to him. she just said what? he was just about in hysterics. his wife was telling him how to speak to her? that was ridiculous. she was being unreasonably ridiculous. for keagan, the way that she was being was unnatural, but he was never angry, either. the both of them were acting peculiar tonight. "what? you're telling ME what to do
?" keagan snapped, staring across the table at her. " you know where i stand with this, charlie! why you needed to ask me AGAIN is beyond me!" keagan shook his head, trying to go back to just eating. he knew he had caused a ruckus, that everyone in the restaurant was looking at them, and not because they had such a celebrity status here. he was in the wrong, and he knew it. but she was wrong for asking him. and even though he was trying to eat, and just stay calm, she said something else, and he didn't like that too much. he looked up at charlie from his plate, and trying to stay calm, he said, " yeah, guess we won't need to go to a movie tonight, then." he sighed heavily, dramatically, really, just to show that he was trying to drop the subject all together. the fact that charlie wasn't laying off of it was somewhat bothering him, now. " you know why i don't want to talk about this! have you forgotten? i don't want kids yet, charlie! we're too young for this! we're at the peak of our careers for god's sake! i'm not ready to settle down that much! does that answer you!?" he replied, staring at her still. he shook his head, running a hand through his sandy hair. he mumbled he'd be back, and he stood up and walked out of the restaurant. he sat out front, off to the side a bit, and pulled out a marlboro cigarette from his pack in his pocket, along with his black bic lighter. he wasn't a regular smoker, more of just a casual one. but more often than not, lately, he was smoking. which he knew wasn't good, but what could you do?[/blockquote][/blockquote]

"i'll admit that i did know where you stood. but i thought that maybe by some small chance you'd say yes. but you have no right at all talking to me like this." she realized that she was just pretty much repeating herself on that. but that's exactly where she stood -- that one, she thought he would have changed his mind. and two -- he didn't have no right. plus the fact that she had nothing better to put up with an argument was also a reason she said nothing more. she was clearly becoming more and more upset with every word he spoke. and she wasn't usually thing agitated nor was she even a tempermental kind of woman, but she was cornered. it wasn't only that she was cornered but she was caught off guard and now put in an embarassing situation. and from there, it could only become worse because either you backed down and looked weak, or you kept up and stayed strong. both was equally embarassing in charlie's mind.
glaring at him from across the table, she was allowing herself to be distracted by the smallest things. the hem on her shirt, the surface in front of her that she wanted to drum her fingers on so badly. this was all so that she just wouldn't let her anger get the best of her. and she knew that the second she would let it take control, she'd have some kind of a freak out, something that she wouldn't want at all. chewing on her lip, she finally let her gaze tear away from him and toward some people that were sitting nearby. but it wasn't until then that she had realized her eyes were actually starting to brim with tears. now, she didn't really know whether it was because of the anger she was feeling, embarassment getting to her, that she wasn't getting her way, or just simply because she was disappointed in herself. but she did know that she wasn't about to let anyone know that she was being put into her place. and she wouldn't especially let keagan know, so she had looked away and straight down. and yes, she realized that she was doing a bad job of hiding it, but she didn't know what she was supposed to do.
she was just about to give an argument to what he had said, but just as soon as she was calming herself down and ready to speak, he had stood up and walked outside. and let me tell you, charlie wasn't feeling comfortable with everyone's eyes on her. so she stood up slowly and started walking outside to where he was. even if she felt upset towards him at the moment, she felt that she was only comfortable around him and only him. so the only thing she could think of doing was going outside and hoping everyone would just forget about all this. as if. they were probably getting some serious entertaining out of it and all. the second she got outside and spotted him, she diverted her eyes. continuing to keep her eyes down, she sat down and hoped that he wouldn't attempt to get up and just leave. but she didn't know exactly what to say to him without bothering him further. "keagan?" she stated quietly, wiping at her eyes to make sure that there wasn't any makeup that had been messed up while inside. chewing on her bottom lip again, "i love you." now, she wasn't saying this to calm him down. it was more of a question to check if he felt any different toward her. it would probably be devestating for her to actually lose him, especially since all this had been her own fault, or at least that's what she was believing.
