It wasn’t Lyric’s first thought to be alone with Landon in his house but he really just wasn’t in the mood to get all dressed up to go out somewhere. He would much rather be comfortable in his own house. Lyric had gotten a couple movies to watch but he wasn’t sure if Landon would actually want to watch them but if he did then at least he wouldn’t have to listen to him complain about not having a movie to watch. Surprisingly, Landon really doesn’t bother him as much as he does to other people. It wasn’t that Landon went easy on him either, he just didn’t get annoyed that easily by him and only laughed off everything that came out of his mouth. Most of the time it was pretty funny so he didn’t have to worry about laughing even if it wasn’t funny.
Lyric made his way into the kitchen, well the one that was closest to the living room he was in. He wanted some popcorn whether they watched a damn movie or not. Lyric quickly grabbed a bag of popcorn and put it in the microwave before he made his way to the cupboard and pulled out a bad of M&M’s before he grabbed a can of root beer from the fridge. He opened it and took a sip before he sat on the counter and looked around the kitchen. The Perrin house was very rarely quiet since he had seven siblings - six of which were adopted when his parents went though the Brad and Angelina stage and adopted from from around the world. Two were from Italy, one was from Germany, another was from Africa while the other two both came from Vietnam. Of course, his elder sister - Calico, had come from their parents nine years before himself. God, his parents are weird and he was thankful that they weren’t home tonight.
Lyric put the popcorn in the bowl before adding M&M’s; he grabbed the bowl and his pop and made his way into the living room before he sat down on the couch and took another sip of his drink as he glanced at the clock on the wall and let out a little sigh. He couldn’t believe that he was actually wishing that his siblings were home but he couldn’t help it - he was bored without entertainment and he was sick and tired of re-runs on the TV and was grateful that Landon was coming over soon. One can only go without social interaction for so long.

when landon was told to go over to lyric's house, he tried to keep his reasons of why the boy might want this to clean thoughts, but he couldnt help it. the two had been friends for a while now, having their few hook ups, but they never had gone that far. at the same time these thoughts were going through his head, though, landon thought about actually going that far, and despite the person he was, he wasnt sure if he really wanted to with lyric. it might be awkward, and, who knows. shaking his head he pushed the thoughts from his mind. they weren't very important right now anyways because he doubted that was going to happen.
walking into his room, landon stared at his closet. he decided on some black skinny jeans, that were way too tight for his own good. then he slipped on some plain white socks and his all black and white checkered shoes, in cluding the laces which matched up perfectly so they were completely checkered evenly and what not. these were his favorite pair, and you could tell, they were worn as could be. that didnt stop him at all though, he would wear these shoes until they broke into two pieces and there was no way in hell he could tape them together. it was amazing that landon could care so much about something like this, because he was so picky and needed everything to be perfect, but i guess everything came with its own surprises. landon pulled on a black shirt with the pink babycakes logo on it and then walked out the door, making his way over to lyrics house.
it wasnt very far, so he decided it'd be easy to just walk. he walked the few blocks, singing to himself and smirking as he was given all his forever-given second glances he got in the street. it was because he was so gorgeous, and landon knew he was. he flaunted it too, as best he could. he always looked his best, no matter what he was doing. he could have gone to lyrics in sweats and a baggy sweatshirt, lyric wouldnt have cared, but landon would have. that was the problem. he walked up to the house and didnt even bother knocking, walking into the living room where he heard the TV going. he saw lyric and smiled, sitting down next to him and leaning back into the comfy couch. "hey babyface" he said, smirking his ever-famous little smirk he used a lot.

lyric glanced back when he heard footsteps and rolled his eyes as he immediately knew that it was landon since no one else was expected to show up at his house tonight besides him - plus everyone one else would have knocked on the door. he wasn't exactly known as being patient when it came to being let into a house. hey intruder, lyric said with a smile as landon sat down next to him and gave him that smile that drove lyric insane and not in the good way. lyric was tempted to kiss him but decided against it since he really wasn't in much of a lovey mood and just wanted to relax for the night, he hoped he'd be able to do that too but he wasn't very sure that was the plan for the rest of the evening with landon.
so um, i got a couple movies in case you wanted to watch 'em; if you don't we can find something...else to do. lyric wasn't really sure what else they could do but he was positive that landon would find something that entertained himself. lyric held the bowl of popcorn out for landon if he wanted any of it before he glanced back at the tv and frowned before he changed the channel to find something more interesting before he glanced back at landon. so what have you been up to since the last time i saw you? sure, it had only been a couple days since he had last seen him but you never know, anything could have happened. lyric grabbed another handful of popcorn before he ate it one by one since he didn't like eating a handful of popcorn at one time, for some reason he just hated eating that much of it.
oh, do you want a drink? we have like everything. lyric said as he looked back over at landon before he took a swig of his root beer again and set it down on the coffee table. his mother would have already been screaming at him if she were home since she hated it when they would eat or drink on the furniture but lyric really couldn't bring himself care at the moment - he was too lazy to go and eat in the kitchen. plus the kitchen didn't have a tv and comfortable couch like the living room did. so his mother was just going to have to get over her OCD for the night.

landon rolled his eyes at lyric, he was a dork, but landon liked him just as much anyways. "right" he said after a few moments of silence that eventually got to him. he wasn't much for the 'oh whats up' 'how are you' kinda thing, so he didnt ask it. if lyric did, than so be it, but landon sure as hell wasnt going to be the one to start up that kind of a conversation. he only did when it was completely silent between him and someone else and he just couldnt stand the awkwardness anymore, it bothered him like no other. kicking off his shoes and letting them go in a direction he wasnt so sure of, landon leaned back into the couch, getting comfy.
he looked at lyric now, something he only did with a few people when he talked to them. usually he'd just look around or at the ground or something, he didnt like locking or even catchings omeones eye for a second. "what movies?" he asked, seeing as this was an important part of weather he wanted to watch them or not. he hoped it was something scary, he loved scary movies. even though he was super afraid of them, they were his all time favorite. but, if he watched them, lyric would have to put up with landon cowarding in his arms. this was the only time landon would show his vulnerable side.
"nothing" he said thinking and shaking his head, there hadn't really been anything special except meeting madi and what not. madi was a cool guy, but nothing special enough to talk about. plus landon didnt have any dirt on him so it would be a boring topic. when he was asked if he wanted a drink, he thought about it for a bit. he actually really wanted a beer, but at the same time he didnt feel like drinking. "do you have any orange soda?" he asked, since it was his favorite thing besides alcohol. he guess lyric had some, but since he didnt feel like getting it himself, he decided it would work if he asked, and then when he got his answer, lyric could get it for him.

lyric merely rolled his eyes as landon got comfortable on his couch and looked back at the TV. he was tempted to ask how landon was but he really didn’t want to get him started on something that was bugging him or how many guys he’d screwed lately. Truth be told, he just didn’t feel like talking to anyone but he supposed that a couple hours wouldn’t make much of a difference. “uh, i can’t remember they’re on the stand next to you. i got a couple of everything.” lyric spoke as he glanced over at landon when he said something about the movies. he wasn’t really in the mood for anything scary but if landon wanted to watch something scary he could put up with one scary movie.
“i believe we have orange soda.” lyric said as he stood up and walked the short distance to the kitchen and grabbed an orange soda out of the fridge that was freshly stocked. he made his way back to the living room and held out the soda for landon before he plopped back down on the couch and accidently knocked the popcorn on the ground and groaned. “shit” he simply said before he leaned forward to pick up the popcorn that had fallen onto the ground. lyric sat up for a moment and pulled up his sweatpants before he resumed picking up the popcorn. It was one of his pet peeves when people’s pants were below their butts, he wasn’t sure why but it just drove him insane – not to mention he was feeling the breeze from the fan.
lyric almost thought about asking landon to help pick up the popcorn but thought against it when he knew that landon wouldn’t help him. he was an asshole and lyric knew that it would never change and didn’t bother nagging him about it. many other people had probably tried to get to him act a little less of an asshole than he was but lyric knew it would never work. it was just who landon was. not to say that he’d never tried it before; when he first met him he tried to get some sort of caring emotion out of him before he gave up.

well we‘re alljust living to die, landon looked over for a second at the movies next to him. Thinking about it, he wasn‘t really in the movie viewing mood, but at the same time he wasn‘t really sure if he was in the mood of anything else, so he just decided to check them out. He fingered through them, making a ‘maybe‘ pile and a ‘no way‘ pile. He looked at the three movies in the maybe pile and handed them over to lyric. ”Pick one“ he mumbled. The two titles read ‘Sweeney Todd‘, ‘I Now Pronounce You Chuck and Larry‘, and ‘Juno‘. Landon hadn‘t seen any of them before so he didn‘t really care. He was pretty sure Sweeney Todd was a bit on the scary side, and the other two were basically comedies, but it didn’t really matter.
Stretching out a bit on the couch, he grabbed the soda and smiled a bit. ”Thanks love“ he said. Even though thank you wasn‘t much landon‘s thing, he didn’t mind saying it sometimes to people he actually liked. He laughed at lyric when he spilt the popcorn. ”Sucks to be you“ he said a bit flatly. Yes, he should be nice and help his friend pick up the mess, but its not like landon cared. He wasn‘t a nice person and he didn’t like the popcorn anyways so he hadn‘t even touched it, which means he had nothing to do with this spillage. This is how he thought it out in his mind at least to make him feel fine with being mean. yes, even landon had a conscious. Believe it or not, when he did something mean to someone that was his friend, he felt a bit bad.
Landon waited for lyric to choose the movie. He stared at the pile on the coffee table in front of him, wondering which one he might pick. He didn’t care really, like he‘d said to himself before, but if he had to choose he‘d probably pick.. Well he actually had no idea. This was landon for you, he knew what he wanted but he sometimes never said it (or even thought it) because he didn’t want to change his mind later. Not that it would matter if he were to change his mind, he could easily just say he wanted the new choice and stuff. He was someone who always were to get what he wanted, so it‘s not like that‘d be a big deal or much to him. He just hated to be wrong, even when its only personal wrongings.
