there’s a light among them all, shinning on the horizonthat stops me from seeing the others that try to blind me•••• Shopping. That’s what Vanessa had to do in the morning; it might sound very preppy and stupid, but if I told you that she need to buy some food and vitamins because Vanessa was becoming slightly amnesic, it would sound different, no? Not like Vanessa couldn’t hire someone to do that for her, she could do it, but she also liked to feel like a normal person once in a while that has to buy food to live. Anyways, after she bought that, Vanessa did go to the fashion district and bought a cute blue dress for Saturday’s party. Vanessa didn’t feel like going but it was better than stay at home watching TV or memorizing lines, maybe Vanessa could have fun there, to change a bit. Lately parties seemed to get so boring; it was always the same people and drinking the same drinks and do the same things. The good news was that Vanessa might go to France to shoot her new movie, maybe things there were different, it was for two or three weeks, because the rest would be shot in studios, but it was enough to take a break from Hollywood.
In the way, Vanessa stopped to buy a magazine and read the tabloids. She found them hilarious, last time she checked Vanessa was in a rehab because of alcohol when she didn’t drink for three weeks. Cool, isn’t it? It was getting so ridiculous, but that was what made them so funny. After that, Vanessa put all the groceries, vitamins and the dress in her car and drove to the the musso and frank grill restaurant. It was a good place to eat and Vanessa was already starting to feel hungry, she took about twenty minutes to get there, driving was usually pretty boring for her, but at least Vanessa had music. She sang along the music in the radio, the music was one from those pop princesses that looked all the same. Blonde, skinny and plastic. Veronica knew that she was blonde, somewhat skinny, but she wasn’t a plastic, or at least was never called one, not even in high school.
Moving to better things, when Vanessa parked her car and started walking to the musso and frank grill eatery, she couldn’t help but notice that things were quite calm. There were a few people on the street and few cars parked. Cool, Vanessa liked peace once in a while like everyone else. It was cool to relax from the crazy lifestyle that Vanessa had. After walking through those green doors, a waitress came and she sat on a table near the wall, Vanessa said that she was going to wait for now. She didn’t come to the musso and frank grill alone, but with her best friend. They didn’t talk for two days and that was like ages from them, since they were inseparable. Vanessa had a few things to tell her, she wondered if Charlie had news too, even if it was just gossip.
After a while, well, three minutes but it seemed like fifteen minutes to Vanessa, because the poor girl got bored easily. After that she started to play games on her cell phone. First she didn’t know if she would play Miami Nights or The Sims, but Vanessa ended up playing The Sims because Miami Nights was about a girl (or boy) that wanted to be famous, and that was cool for ordinary people, not for celebrities because they were already famous. Big confusion, but true, at least Vanessa found them boring. Fortunately, the game made time go quicker and when Vanessa finally checked what time was it, she noticed that Charlie would appear any minute. A smile appeared on Vanessa’s face because she would die of boredom if her best friend didn’t show up.

charliecaroline }} you're a dreamerAND DREAMING'S WHAT YOU DO outfit
usually charlie caroline laurent-daniels was a very late girl to most things. one of those things she was never late to happened to be when she met up with friends or else anyone that wanted to possibly hire her for modeling. she had learned harshly that if you were even three minutes late to some things, you missed out and that was that. as for friends? she was just never late when it came to friends just so they knew they could depend on her. she had spent most of the morning picking out an outfit and thinking about what was on her agenda for the day.
there really wasn't anything that was going on besides the fact she had to meet up with vanessa today. otherwise, everything else was pretty much the same at this time. she'd probably wind up going shopping. but that was more routine than everything else. just like meeting up with vanessa. but none of it bothered her. she was actually liking the way life was going for now. the tabloids weren't too much of a nuisance lately. here or there a story would pop up about her past drug usage and partying. actually, she was really surprised that the little incident that had happened between her and keagan hadn't appeared yet. mainly due to that certain 'b' word. you know -- baby? but he had quickly turned it all down. and after the whole scene that had played out at the restaurant she knew two different things. she would never go back their because of how embarassed she was. and that she shouldn't bring up the subject of babies to him for a long time unless he brought it up first. but even then she would be kind of nervous.
yet that was a few days ago so it didn't matter to charlie at all. she had made sure to pull on a cute outfit - the normal kind she would usually be caught wearing and a bit of makeup. she could have just as easily went natural and pulled it off, but she thought that she may as well put makeup on just to satisfy herself. even with the way she looked all the time, she felt like there was something off and she needed to fix. but she didn't have low self confidence at all. if you ever asked her, she thought she was quite beautiful no matter what. it was just that she really loved to play it up a bit more.
she had been out of the house and started driving toward the musso and frank grill after she found herself to be more than decent at the time. she was a very careful driver, but had arrived there pretty quickly while being undetected as she stepped out of the mustang she owned and began walking toward the entrance of her destination and stepping inside. hands on her hips, she looked around for vanessa and spotted her quickly which brought an awfully wide smile to her features. pushing back her dark hair from her face she had walked over toward vanessa quickly with that same smile still in there. "vanessa!" charlie greeted quickly, taking a seat and looking at her, "i'm not late, am i?" this was the main thing she was worried about-- whether she was on time or not.

there’s a light among them all, shinning on the horizonthat stops me from seeing the others that try to blind me•••• Like any other girl, Vanessa needed her best friend’s advices, especially now that she was going through a dilemma. Anyways, she didn’t want to think about it now, Vanessa was already forced to think about that unpleasant subject every single day (and nights, because it made her conscience a bit heavy). Besides, the media bothered even more day by day, it wasn’t the gossip, it was her silly little family and closest friends that weren’t in the business asking if she was in the middle of an emotional breakdown or not. Yeah, yeah, Vanessa knew and understood that they were worried, but she was an actress for five/six years, they had a lot of time to get used to those kinds of things.
Vanessa really hoped that those few weeks in Paris would make her calmer, happier and less stressed. No paparazzi, no tabloids, no Kevin. They were basically the source of her headaches and heavy conscience, Vanessa knew that we had all our little problems, but it was also understandable that she needed a break, everyone needed once in a while. Not that Vanessa was naïve enough to think that there weren’t paparazzi in Paris, but she was sure that there weren’t that many, well, or at least she hoped that. But what really made her excited were the shopping sprees that she would do. Clothes were one of her main passions, so Paris was paradise for her, besides she could go visit her aunt that lived near there. Yeah, Vanessa had French blood in her, that’s one of the main reasons that they picked her.
When Charlie showed up, Vanessa grinned. Finally! Not that she was late, but playing games on her cell phone was quite boring. “Hello Charlie!” she greeted back, still grinning. “Nope, you’re not late. You just arrived in time, actually.” Vanessa said. “So, how have you been? Tell me everything!” Vanessa was always worried about her friends, and lately she hadn’t heard much of Charlie which made Vanessa want to know how things were with her. Charlie was her best friend after all, and a girl without her best friend was always incomplete.
Anyways, Vanessa wanted her to start talking, instead of her. If Charlie asked about it, Vanessa would finally confess that she had been talking (a lot) with Mr. McKenzie. Yeah, Vanessa knew she shouldn’t even think about him, but she was stupid enough to talk to him and consider giving him a second chance. That made her a bit embarrassed, since Kevin had been in a lot of trouble and had the rep of a playboy and an asshole now, but he had a couple of pretty eyes too! Not to mention that he was always very sweet to her when they were dating.
“Whatever.” Vanessa thought after all this went through her mind for fifth time that day. She would listen to Charlie, hopefully she would make her forget everything bad that was going in her life right now and think about other things.
