"Things are going to change soon, I can feel it." Said a blondish doctor in a white coat. He was referring to a cancer patient that was starting to take a turn for the worse but his T-cell count seemed to be stabilizing.
He didn't have time to spend on with the patient's family though, there was a tall brunette that he had to tell that her boyfriend was dieing from the inside out and we didn't quite know why.
"I called in the head of the diagnostic department to see what our best doctor can find, but it won't change anything." Morgan told her as she wept and looked like she was about to hit him with whatever blunt object was nearest.

Why did patients always have to be such whiners? Sure, some were going to die, some had loved ones who were dying, but did there have to be so much whining? Can't people just grow up, get the fact that people die all the time and suck it up? Sadly no, people were emotional right to the core, which sucked completely. And right now he was going to go see a patient who was dying, oh joy, and apperently Dr. Esmund couldn't figure out a simple diagnosis, that he was dying of cancer.
Daniel slid the door open to the patients room. "Hello, I'm Dr. Hill. Apperently my collegue, Dr. Esmund here can't figure out what's wrong with you." Daniel said as he walked boldly into the room, like he owned the place and the people inside. He looked at the patient and rolled his eyes. "And to think we pay this guy," He said, pointing at Dr. Esmund. "Some say he's not even a real doctor but a janitor, I think he is too."
The patient and the patient's girlfriend gave him shocked expressions. "From his medical records, he's been to Africa recently, I'm thinking..." He said, trailing off as he looked up and making a look of concentration. "Ebola," He said and then held out his hand. "That diagnosis will be thrity five dollars, please."
"How can you act so nonchalant about this?" The girlfriend said in a shcoked tone. "Because," He said, giving the girl a smile, "It's not Ebola." He said and then continued. "He'll wish it was, cause it's much worse. His melanoma has infiltrated his kidney's, causing them to shut down. He's going to die, painfully." Daniel turned to Dr. Esmund and pointed at the patient and his girlfriend. "Grab the kleenex box, they'll need it."

"And if it's that then kidneys are the least of his problem. If the liver is infultrated by the Melanoma cells it could cause multi-system failure." Morgan said, giving a look of sympathy to the woman.
It didn't really change the fact that Daniel was being a complete dick about the situation and she wanted to probably throw something at them.

"Great, you can parrot things from a medical book, congratulations," Daniel said, clapping his hands in a mock expression of praise. "Now go read Chapter Two, that's the chapter about not only having knowledge but using it," He said, turning back to the patients. "Now, we'll leave and order your coffin, pine is in season."
Before the girlfriend could hurl anything at him, he quickly ushered Dr. Esmund out of the room. As they walked down the hallway back towards Daniel's office, Daniel turned to Dr. Esmund and said, "Don't recite moral codes to me. The Hippocratic Oath says we shall 'do no harm', it didn't say anything about being nice."

"I wasn't going to, I know your an ass and I also know your good at your job, so I don't care how you act since your still doing no harm." Morgan told him. Seemed Dr. Hill was being a bit defensive today.
"Well my shift is almost over so I can get out of this death hole for lunch, know any good places to eat?" Dr. Esmund told him. It wasn't really lunch, more like dinner since Morgan had been the one on-call that night. "Or do you just insult your refridgerator until food appears inside?
