As Charisma walked from school, she was tired, and didn't care about homework and was ready to hit the bed, but there was one thing she wanted to do before she went home and that was to go to Miracle Playground. She always went there when she was little when she was upset, happy, sad. Pretty much when she felt like she needed to reminisce. Today she just wanted to get in touch with herself and with the sky.Miracle Playground was her sanctuary .Clean,Green, and had all the fun kiddie things that would make a kid's eyes grow wide. She walked on the wood chips and dropped her backpack. She went on her favorite swing, the yellow one, with the pink rope that her friend decided to color. Charisma began to swing...swing so high, she thought she was going to touch the sky. The fall breeze came through her nostrils. Her hair flying behind her back. Charisma smiled, but then she saw it...a navy blue backpack with a notebook and pencil on it. She jumped off the swing, and walked closer cautiously. The notebook had poems, music, all the literature stuff.Charisma liked it."hello,ummm... I think you left something, or your either hiding from me." she said in a half chuckle.

down memory lane
james sighed as he walked around the city after school. he didn't want to go home but he didn't want to do nothing. he was so bored. he couldn't even write. he could always write. he loved writing. he wasn't sure if that's what he wanted to do in life, but it's what he wanted to do now.
james was walking by a park when he stopped and looked at it. mircle park. he went there once or twice as a little boy. he smiled and dropped his backpack on the ground and his notebook on top of it as he went over to the slides. he hadn't been here in forever. he had forgotten about it. so many words were going through his head as he went around the playground.
james was about to go on a swing when he noticed a girl reading his notebook. he jogged over to her. "oh please, no don't read them. they're not done." he said as he grabbed the notebook and gently took it from her. he slipped the notebook into his bag and then stood back up. "sorry, i don't like people reading my stuff unless it's finished, and barely then." he said with a smile and half shrug.

Charisma read through the notebook the writing was beautiful it was as if the person who wrote it ,knew how to put the words in the right places. She felt as if she was in another world. She saw a boy run over to her. Saying something, but she couldn't quite hear him. He looked worried yet embarrassed. She realized that he did not want people to read his notebook. Charisma stood up and brushed the wood chips off her jeans."Oh, I'm sorry,"She said as she held the notebook with a gaze."Your writing is beautifull... for a boy...no offense." she chuckled nervously. How could she have said something stupid. She felt her face flush.

james chuckled at the girls response. "thanks, and no offense taken. i get it a lot." he hated the fact that his father and step-mother hate the fact that he writes. his two step siblings loved it. which he likes.
james looked the girl over a bit as he bent down to get another notebook from his backpack. "here, read this. this is my most recent finished notebook." he said holding it for her to take. he was proud of this notebook. the notebook itself was just a normal spiral bond blue 70 page notebook. nothing special. he didn't like the journal ones. too girly.

"OK." Charisma said, she flashed a big smile to him. As she read it again, she felt as if the world was painted away from her, the writing was so strong and believable. She flipped page over page and before she knew it, the story was over. She wished the story didn't stop."Umm...wow." She stuttered."You are amazing at this. How could your parents have said no?Have they read this?"Charisma did not want to sound nosy, but writing like this should have been recognized.

james smiled. "thanks." he shrugged at the comment about his parents. he didn't really like talking about it much. "my dad is a macho type person, being in the navy. my step-mother, she's just a bitch. she's the 'a mans place is in the military and a womens is at home raising the kids' type of person." james loved his father but he was just unreasonable. james didn't want to join the military. yeah, he wanted to go to college, but he just wanted to get through senior year first.

"i see.I am sorry if I am being nosy...I did not intended to say that." Charisma blushed. She sighed. She walked toward the swings."I usually go to this playground alone. It's kind of weird to see someone here when I'm here, but I am glad I met you."Charisma was talking miles a minute and she did not even know her shyness was disappearing, was it fate that bought him here?

james chuckled. "naw, it's okay. i'm used to people asking about it." james sat on the swing next to the girl. he smiled at what she said. "i haven't been here since i was little. i totally forgot about this place. i'm glad i met you too. or i would be if i knew your name." he said laughing. they didn't know eachother's names. "i'm james."

As Charity was swinging. She smiled. She like being there with someone. It was better than being alone."My name is Charisma...Charisma Mello."She stopped at him for a response."James...I like that name...its classy."

james couldn't help but laugh. "classy huh? well, i think yours is cute. like you so it works." james said smiling. yes, he just called her cute. james has never really been nervous around the opposite sex. it was just something he was used to. he's had a few girlfriends but all of them wanted him for arm candy. he was adorable and he knew it. he just didn't brag about it.
james ran a hand through his red hair and started swinging higher and higher. after he was so high he might go over the top, he jumped off the swing. he flew about seven feet from the swing and landed on his feet with a thud. he threw his arms out to balance and didn't fall. he turned around and threw his arms up like a feild goal. "and he sticks the landing!" he said before bowing. "i haven't done that in forever." james walked back to the singset and leaned against the pole next to charisma's swing and watched her swing.

Charisma blushed."Oh wow..thanks." she smiled. She laughed as she saw him jump of the swing. She decided to jump off. As she landed she decided to walk to the Field."Come on" She motioned. She lay ed down on the field and looked at the sky the sun was beginning to set, and she pointed."Look...that's my favorite part." She liked being here with James. She like him carrying his notebook and pencil. She liked when he made her laugh.

james watched her jump and laughed when she landed. "wow, i don't think i've ever seen a girl brave enough to do that." he said as he followed her to the field. he laid down next to her and watched the sky darken. he looked at the sun setting when she pointed and smiled a bit. he glanced over at Charisma. he couldn't help but think this moment romantic but that's probably just because he's a hopeless romantic. he usually gets the bitchy girls, treats them great, while they stomp all over his balls.
james shook his head to clear his thoughts. he put his hands behind his head as he laid there with her. the girl he barely knew but felt comfortable with. which was weird, considering he didn't have a lot of friends.

Have you ever heard don't get caught in the moment but, BE in the moment. Charisma felt like she was in the moment with a total stranger she just got to knew, and it felt like he knew her forever. She sighed...knowing she had to leave before her mom started calling her like crazy wondering where she was."Well...I am a brave girl..around certain people like you." She said.

james grinned at what she said. "well, i'm glad that a macho man lie me can inspire you to be brave." he said as he sat up and flexed his arms in a macho man style. he laughed at himself. "so what grade are you in, assuming you're in high school of course. i mean, you could be in college. are you?" he asked raising an eyebrow.

Charisma laughed her cutesy laugh, as James acted like a so called macho man. Then he asked her what grade she was in"uhhh... errr."Charisma began to blush and stutter."I am a sophomore at Hollywood High. How about you." She bit her nail...why was she so nervous all of a sudden? Maybe she was afraid that if James was older he wouldn't like her.Charisma began to feel stupid...why was she thinking about this...I mean she didn't even know the guy.If he wanted to be her friend. She would accept that. If he didn't it wasn't as if her life would end.
